Geneva Offers Wellness And Rehabilitation Services Via Telehealth 21 April 2020 In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Geneva Healthcare, one of New Zealand’s most trusted home and community support providers, have extended their wellness and rehabilitation telehealth services. This development is part of their wraparound services to ensure that their Clients’ urgent needs are met, as well as essential assessment and rehabilitation supports are provided. Geneva are working in a flexible and collaborative way with their Clients and their whānau, Allied Health team, and referrers to continue delivering services safely and appropriately as the country negotiates its way through the pandemic. We’ve adapted our service delivery and range of services using telehealth so that we can continue to provide ongoing and timely service provision. This exciting development allows us to maintain a strong connection with our Clients and their support network, as well as our Referrers, to continue to provide services which will make a difference especially during these times, says David Hughes, Geneva Healthcare Rehabilitation and Disability Services General Manager. Anyone can use telehealth. It is a fast, convenient and reliable way to receive professional and personalised Wellness and Rehabilitation services wherever the Client may be. Using technology via phone or computer, telehealth provides faster access to care and consultations with Geneva’s professional Allied Health team, even when the Clients are in the comfort of home or on the go. It is easy for Clients to set up, simple to use, and is secure to ensure their privacy. By using telehealth, the Clients can continue to access their regular and ongoing support services with Geneva’s trusted registered health professionals. They continue to offer professional assessment and rehabilitation services, vocational services, and specialist wheelchair, seating and repair services. Our teams have the capacity to provide home visits where the need is urgent and deemed essential; and in all other situations, we are able to provide our health services via telehealth, David adds.
