We’re committed to providing exceptional support services for our clients and looking for an experienced, flexible and outgoing Support Worker to join our team to work with one of our Young Adult clients having Autism and Al Exposure Sodium Valporate Teratogen, based in Dunedin.

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with unique needs contributing to their overall wellbeing to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualification in Healthcare, disability support or related field
  • Proficient in delivering high quality personal care and home help support
  • Own transport with a clean and valid Restricted/Full driver’s license
  • Legitimate NZ work rights
  • A clean Police check
  • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Professionally presentable and adaptable
  • Proactive in managing client’s daily tasks
  • Previous experience in paediatric and hoist handling
  • Competency in PEG Feed

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily tasks such as personal care, bathing, PEG feeding
  • Managing household tasks, general home help, meal preparation, community outing, school pick-ups, mobility and grooming
  • Usage of hoist equipment correctly and efficiently
