Ways to Honour Waitangi 2020 04 February 2020 Waitangi day honours the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 between the British Crown and 500 Māori chiefs. “Waitangi Day is a day for all New Zealanders to remember the partnership of which we are all a part.
