Geneva Health & Richmond NZ: partners in mental health & disability
Leading healthcare recruitment specialist Geneva Health is to provide Richmond NZ Incorporated - a major national provider of community mental health, disability and support services – with specialised community workers and youth services staff.
Richmond’s current 600+ staff are employed across a number of residential homes, day centres and specialist services throughout New Zealand.
The Sole Preferred Provider contract with Richmond provides Geneva Health with the opportunity to work with one of New Zealand’s largest non-governmental organizations. For Richmond, they wanted to form an alliance with an industry specialist that can provide skilled staff to ensure consistent service and quality care for all their clients, thereby ensuring the successful running of their organisation.
With increased community awareness of mental illness more people today are seeking mental health care than ever before, and so the need for proficient staff has risen. Richmond also provides services for young people with behavioural challenges and learning disabilities.
Geneva Health, well known for its leading edge health employment practice, was chosen by Richmond for both their ability to source the best staff, and their reputation for providing a consistent level of quality staff and services.
Jo Wallis, CEO Geneva Health International, says, “We are delighted to be working alongside a company whose philosophy includes community and individual wellbeing. With one in five New Zealander’s affected by mental illness or a disability at any one time, we know it is important to recruit healthcare professionals who can provide the best possible support to people suffering a mental health illness or disability, for the best possible outcome”.
